Overall, Macau was an interesting visit, albeit pretty expensive relative to my budget. I didn't do any gambling or really see much of the city beyond the major tourist sites, but it was definitely a departure from Hong Kong, both good and bad. ... aber leider ist die Seite der betreffenden Einrichtung in Hong Kong seit 2007 nicht mehr aktualisiert worden und die meisten Erfahrungsberichte in Foren sind auch mit Vorsicht zu genießen weil oft gar keine fundierte Wissensgrundlage besteht sondern Leute nur Vermutungen anstellen aber diese als unumstößliche Wahrheit formulieren.

I am able to fly back to Bangkok because I’ve listened to my dad’s incredible wisdom and have made copies and color copies of my passport documents (my passport is also stamped with the various Chinese visas I need to be here—more on that later). As we left the ferry terminal after our 1 ½ hour ride, I realized that Macau was going to reconnect me with Latin culture as well, giving me a much-needed dash of salsa. The town looked a bit worn, but in a quaint, comfortable Latino way and we spotted cozy alleys everywhere, winding off like Italian passageways. Flowers were much more in evidence than in hard-charging Hong Kong.
