On the way to Austin, I didn't realize exactly where the LBJ ranch was in planning my itinerary (I screwed up). Somehow I went 15 miles past where the the actual ranch was. I will blame this on Ann. For two reasons, she is my official navigator (even though she is absent). I don't know why I didn't pick it up, because I saw a sign that said I passed over the Perdnales River. ... Caribbean cruise!! I thought...why not...I'm in Texas, there's a port at Galveston...I've got to take advantage and go on a cruise while I'm here. I'll be seeing Cozumel, Belize, and Mahogany Bay....exploring on my own..yep all by myself :):) After my cruise, I'll head back here to Austin and start my second eight week contract which will leave me in Austin until September 13th. Seriously, I would love some familiar company...if anyone wants ...

... as long as you were standing, you could see turns 2, & 16 to 19 pretty well from there too. ( we did have camp chairs with us while we waited for action ) The race itself was fairly uneventful, another Sebastian Vettel whitewash, but still a great spectacle, the noise is pretty awesome & saw some pretty good overtaking moves.
