... simply breathtaking!

  • Rome with it's 3000 years of history, the Collossus, the Forum....and the traffic with "suggested" traffic rules!
  • Firenze.....the architecture, the Duomos, Uffizi and the statue of David
  • London.......the Globe, Millennium Bridge, the moments silence at St Paul's, Houses of Parliament, 10 Downing Street and Household Cavalry Museum where Jan's grandfather spent his professional ...

OK, so "departure day" is here!

All our planning (read "Jan's" planning!) comes to fruition at looooong last! The UK elements are pretty well in place. It will be fantastic to catch up with "old" friends and family, as well as see some of the sights. The place would have changed since Jan was last in the UK (1968)!

... steepest train in the world, a scenic skyway which claims its the highest in Australia and finally a scenic cable way which boasts that it's Australia's biggest cable cart! Whether all this is true remains to be seen! You can appreciate the real beauty, grandness and scale of this landscape once you get away from all the tourist spots onto the tracks through the mountains! We were left truly appreciating how amazing this area was once there wasn't about 20 million tourists ...

... history of Australia and appreciate undiscovered Sydney Sights including: iconic buildings, hidden passageways and a talking dog. On our way around we even received a wave from a famous Aussie News Seven Presenter. To top the icing on the cake we saw where a famous scene from the film 'The Matrix' was filmed with steam rising from the floor. The 2 1/2 free tour was well worth it. It gave us ...
