Now one 1 week later , after lots of miles sightseeing , laughs, meals and hot steamy weather, (with the afternoon storms thrown in ), we are now on our own again, having driven Rex and Carol back to Tampa airport Friday morning, for their flight to New Orleans....

... up to the mooring balls was completed without a hitch (except in the ropes! Ha Ha, a bit of nautical humor) and we both congratulated ourselves on a job well done. We had officially arriving in St. Pete. Naturally this called for a celebratory toast. Our friends, the Good Captains, obliged by ferrying us to their boat on their dinghy. ... important safety briefing which consisted of "if you go overboard just stand up and walk to shore". That done, we settled in for a meandering trip on the Myakka to enjoy the flora and fauna. We soon arrived at Snook Haven to enjoy a meal that included gator bites, another 1st for John and Pat. On the way home Capt Bill let John take the wheel and he only hit bottom once.
