So we headed for another airport ready for our 6 1/2 hr flight from New York to Seattle, and wound our watches back three hours. We paid a little extra for "comfort economy" - extra leg room, but that was all!! This flight was long and soooo hot in the cabin. We flew over the Mississippi River (which starts from The Great Lakes) which was pretty cool. Had a good view of Seattle as we flew in - trees everywhere - and I ...

When I accidentally left it at the Hugo's, Danny reminds me of how I left him there and I get photo updates ...

We spent the day using the Emerald City (that is what Seattle is called because with so much rain, it usually is very green) Trolley to sightsee. We covered most of the waterfront including a second lunch of Ivar's clam chowder then on to Pioneer Village which is the downtown district where the original town was started. Like San Francisco, the original wood town burnt down and had to be replaced with brick buildings. The entire ...

... for me to visit the home of grunge. The hostel ran a ‘Dead Guys Tour’ every couple of days that for one reason or another, I kept missing. On my last day in Seattle there was no such tour arranged so I embarked upon it myself. Due to my sometimes obstinate reluctance to pay for any kind of public transport, I spent the majority of the day walking around (what seemed like) every single street in Seattle. By the time I had returned to ...
