Not such an early start this morning. We pack, enjoy another Holiday Inn self made pancake breakfast. Then we drive into the Grand Canyon National Park to the South Rim carparks. We join our Angel Bright bike tour. Boarding the shuttle we are driven to Hopi Point. We then bike slowly to Hermits Rest. The knowledgeable guide Joey stops to explain the geology, and about the birds. Great camera stops as we marvel at the ...

... type stick! This was our last stop and we partied the night awsy with our new friends :)

The next morning we got our first lie in! Yay! And feeling a little worse for wear we got the bus back to Los Angeles. Our last night in America and we decided to splurge and treat ourselves to a top notch meal. With my appetite not quite back to its normal self i enjoyed a gourmet burger whilst Zoe had a beauty of a steak.

What a fantastic way to end our time in America

... more slowly than before.

We carried on through the seeming endless miles of desert and soon saw the silhouette of the Vegas sky line. We were staying at the Excalibur Hotel at the southern end of the strip and I managed to drop the kids at the hotel and make it the airport car drop off by 5.50pm.

The hotel is a perfect choice for the kids. A huge medieval castle design. When your room number is 23623, ...

We spend two days in Vegas. In the mornings we don't do much but lie at the pool. We take a shuttle bus to Mandalay Bay. A hotel/casino at the start of the famous Vegas strip. We have never seen anything like it. What a huge building. And so many slot machines , roulette, blackjack and poker tables. Wow. We walk around in the hotel and get on the monorail to the next hotel: Luxor. It's in the shape of a pyramid and even inside everything looks like Egypt. ...
