    ... and I handled our first major motorcycle emergency. We kept calm and took care of it and got back on the road - that's what you've gotta do. So far, so good with the new battery and voltage regulator.

    By the time we got to North Conway, NH it was nearly 6 pm. We checked in at the Fox Ridge Resort and settled in, then Phil and I went to grab a bite to eat and get fuel for the next morning's ride to Maine.

    ... around with childish excitement, Tuukka included.
    This included a visit to the little gift shop, look out terrace and a glance at the weather station.

    The return trip down was a little anti-climactic as we were somewhat prepared for the road conditions, and welcomed the climate change from low 30's back to the warm 80s!

    If you get the chance, get up there and visit the summit. It'll be an experience I won't forget and am pretty sure you won't either

    ... the next day, so decided to stay on an extra night and make the most of the peaceful town and scenic views. After a much needed lie-in and a very chilled start to the day, we eventually decided to walk/hike up to one of the area’s many waterfalls. After a bit of research, Arethusa Falls was to be our destination. At 200 feet it is the tallest in the region and a nice 2.8-mile round trip from the road.

    ... started Sioux off going through the whole soundtrack of 'Gigi the Musical' so I get to hear Gigi all over again and again. Lucky me.

    There's nothing at Jackson except a ski resort and a lot of ski lodges. There's more snow around here so we stopped along a small side road and exchanged snowballs. I had to stop throwing snowballs when Sioux hid beside my Chevy Equinox and I didn't want to risk damaging the SUV. I love my Chevys Equinox.
