Breakfast was a busy and noisy affair with lots of seniors from US on a bus trip. Most were very friendly, a few not so. Days Inn breakfasts are just continental but did include fresh fruit compote as well as pieces of fruit. The array of donuts and pastries was impressive. ... dump our bags and venture out. Stopping for a bite to eat. We were recommended to check out "Dad’s diner….it’s like a diner" we had a good laugh at the description the lovely Irishman at the desk had given us. Enjoying about a half hour walk we went to use our adventure passes heading south following the Niagara River until we reached the falls. Who needs a map when you have the river?

... a shower of rain just as we were getting to the RV. It didn't last long though. Today we did the Cave of the Winds, & it was their first day for the season & was absolutely fantastic. An elevator takes you down 175ft to the base of Bridal Veil Falls, from there you walk around the bottom of the falls on a wooden platform which is pulled down & reassembled every year. It wouldn't be able to withstand the harsh winter climate. ...
