The town wanted to build a larger facility but could not get the jays franchise to contribute any money into the project threatening, even at that time to head to Phoenix! and the smaller town was stretched to its limits so could only build the present stadium seating just over 5000 seats...they are sold out most spring training seats ...but in talking to many visitors who can't get ...

... some internet sloughing for other sights to see...St Patricks day we were in the center on Dunedin attired in our greens. They definitely do it up big here. Flan****ns bar sponsors the event with cordoned off streets and 2 larges stages with Irish entertainers, pipe bands, and dancers. Celtic music filled the air and was amazing ...tried our first fish (cod) and chips ....yummy Spent a good part of the afternoon and then ...

... we spent about an hour on the beach. It was packed. We assume with kids on spring break. So now we have dipped our toes in the Atlantic on the east coast of Florida and the Gulf of Mexico on the west side.

Our drive back to Orlando was supposed to take 1 hour 45 min again but the traffic was againg solid all the way past Tampa city and it took us 2 & 3/4 hours.

Cooked dinner at our hotel tonight. Roast chicken and veggies. Nice.

And on to those fast food emporia and delights such as deep fried Oreos, Snickers, butter, Hot dogs on sticks, cheese (battered on a stick) elephant ears (deep fried pastry) funnel cakes (doughnut batter dribbled into hot oil in a cake shape, fried and dredged with icing sugar) corn dog (sausage wrapped in corn meal and deep fried) and all sorts of treats that Mick was not allowed to try. We marvelled and succumbed to a selection of less noxious offerings.

... immigration, still fretting about those electronics. We clear immigrations where we are each handed tiny "Andean Migration" forms and told not to lose it. Geez...I hate that! Next we are off to collect our bags and go through customs. We stand around the carrousel and finally my bag shows up. We wait and the bag with those electronics has not arrived. Larry goes off in seach of the missing bag ...
