We left Black Lake today and headed toward Vermont. We didn't make it.
We did, however, drive through the Adirondacks and somehow managed to drive into the bike portion of an Ironman race. No, I mean we drove into it! Imagine how those guys on bikes felt after swimming for 2.4 miles, then trying to ride their bikes for 112 miles, only ...
We had a relaxed morning and then dropped into a historic spot to try a local legendary taste delight for lunch. Anyone who knows Wayne knows he is a hot dog nut. We just had to go and try a Michigan Hot Dog. I had never heard of this but it's legendary in this area.

... mountain then hiked the 1.25 mile/2000 feet to the top (our Fitbit told us we had climbed 118 flights of stairs, that'll clean out the pipes)!!! It was an incredible experience we'll never forget!!
Next we visited the North Pole & Santa's Workshop before heading to Lake Placid to see the lake & the Olympic Village!! It was another crazy day!!
Today we stayed close to the trailer & since it has warmed up to 82 degrees, we went swimming in Lake ...
... but it was a cloudy mourning and the peaks were covered in clouds. It actually looked really neat with the smoky white clouds blowing right past your face in the open mountain air.
A trip to Lake Placid was definitely necessary. We went on Father’s Day on a Sunday afternoon, so it was a happening place (oh by the way Happy Father’s Day to Russ and Dave and all of you other fathers out there!). There is strip on Main St that sits on Mirror ...
