Can't believe we're camping on the shores of Lake Champlain!!! We've had incredible experiences in this area of New York. This state continues to keep us on our toes!! We had an amazing hike through the Ausable Chasm where the river was rushing through a canyon of steep walls with incredible force (especially after several big storms the days before our visit.

The Adirondack Forest is huge! It took roughly three hours to get to our campground after entering the Adirondack area and we only made it about half way into the forest. We entered from the south and the Lake Placid region is toward the middle.
