Place looks new... and is quiet, but the beer on tap is good... might even be the best one we have tried so far this trip.. food on the other hand, not so much. Anyway, couple of beers and a ball game on, we have a nice evening and then grab a cab back and call it a night. No big rush tomorrow only about a 3 hour drive... so little tv and some zzzzzz's. .. ... really beautiful ride down the river valley, so no regrets and the Suburban was much happier too. Ahhh.

The road to Salt Lake took us along the border of Wyoming and Idaho. We passed between the two states several times during the trip. The road was just a single lane highway passing though quaint towns like Smoot and Cokeville. Traveling on these roads was smooth as traffic was very light and the scenery consisted of ...

... she got to pet a pig :)
Upon entering the valley in 1847 the saints found cactus, briars, very few trees, and thick grass and weeds up to their waist as far as the eye could see. Certainly not the beautiful and abundant place we find today. I was humbled and grateful to learn a little more about these pillars of strength, who risked much for their faith in Christ and belief in freedom from persecution.
