... town that had a Friday night farmers market on. Complete with live music. Went for a beer on the pier, watched the sunset, chatted to a local fisherman told us about the size of the sharks you could catch off the pier, claimed that he once saw someone catching a 9ft shark. Left Avail in search of accommodation booked into the next town at a motel chain. Had our first dinner at Denny's a big diner ...

Tonight I thought I might try the tomato fennel soup but not vegan apparently so had the pasta again, this time with an amazing salad, of course some california red wines to go with the meal. Breakfast each day I had fresh fruit & steel cut oatmeal porridge, with toast and "breakfast ...

... dinner at a vegetarian cafe back in SLO and they invited me back to the hostel they were staying in for some drinks and conversation. Questions arose about the name of my camper and I told them I hadn't really decided. A few of the guys fro various countries thought it appropriate to name it "Roxy", a shortened and more 21st century version of John Steinbeck's "Rocinante" in his 1960'2 novel, "Travels With Charley." I liked that name for the camper but it didn't suit the truck so I came ...
