... you are going that fast! I never did take a chance and followed a car towing a boat for at least 20 miles because there was no safe place to pass. Also, didn't take Gavin long to figure out the passing lines on the road! The Black Hills of South Dakota were beautiful and we had a great stop at Mount Rushmore. Some facts about Mount Rushmore: .....Carved between 1927-194, using dynamite and jackhammer. .....A total of 400 workers were on the site. ......Total cost ...

Just an overnight stop, but we were able to get quite a bit of conversation in, in one night! Drove 7 hours today and we are stopped in Salina, KS at a very comfortable Marriott Courtyard. We listened to an audio book, No Hero, The Evolution of a Navy Seal by Mark Owen. It is an account of Mark's 13 years as a Navy Seal. He was on the mission ...

Up early, showers, breakfast at the motel, and leaving Denver, heading to Salina, Kansas (our destination for tonight) by around 10. What a different day of driving across hwy 70. Flat, green, not much to take pictures of. We did see some wind turbines around Bovina. We also had to call OnStar because we are having trouble using the internet in the car. ...
