... and eggs and toast, then Leah headed off to work and we packed up the camper. It was already warm at 8 am, and by the time we were ready to ride out at about 9, it was over 70. So I've covered the north island and after a 4 hour ferry trip playing cards, and listening to a very strange Asian lady hum/squeal somewhere over the rainbow, our bus rolled onto the South Island. ... reason. It was just a town in the mountains that happened to be right between the Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway...a typical mountain town. An ordinary piece of Americana.
