... pray for fertility at the temples. This led us to one of the oldest churches in Macau, St. Dominic's, dedicated to the Lady of the Rosary. It was hastily and very simply constructed in 1587 by the Dominicans who were short on time and money. With more funding Spanish priests turned this into the beautiful church it is today in 1828. While we have toured so many other religious temples, it felt a little odd to be touring a Church. However, it was simply beautiful!

More crowds at the Peak's observation deck and had to do a bit of jostling...the view was pretty spectacular though. After a Pho dinner, we thought we'd take a bus to Central then take the ...

... checked out the neighborhoods along the way. About 3:30 pm we met up with Tom' s wife & used a combo of subway & taxi to go to the coast of the New Territories. There we hired a boat & cruised around in the bay for about an hour. We had dinner at a place with multiple tanks & you picked live sea creatures that they prepared for you. It was wonderful! We had shrimp, lobster, razor clams, some kind of fish, scallops & local beer. After a couple ...

... out at the sight of Victoria Harbour, spectacular. We spent ages just staring out across the harbour, and the far side of the island, before heading down in search of food.

Now what I haven't mentioned for fear of sounding ungrateful is precisely how cold it is today. The sun was warm and life was good down at the harbour, but the day wears on, and on top of Victoria peak there is a cold wind blowing, brrrrrrrrrrr. So as well as food we ...
