We have enjoyed our stay here and it has been real quiet except for the weekends, when all the locals take advantage of the scenery and weather. It is good to see people out and enjoying nature. We will be moving on tomorrow to Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Va.

We have taken several hikes in the park ...

They didn't even blink at Hinesh’s UK licence. We only have energy to find a hotel (Best Western) and grab dinner of a veggie pizza across the way from the hotel before we crash.

... to notice, better than the ones down our way, which are cheaper and offer cheaper tastings. Nevertheless: we had a nice day. The weather was gorgeous—yet again (this might be the nicest week in a Virginia summer since we moved here)—and the scenery is gorgeous. I’ve posted lots of photos with descriptions, so have a look.

... neighborly feel where kids can leave their bicycles on the front lawn and the local bookstore has an "honor system" There's a bookshelf on the front porch, you just take a book and leave money in a box!

I saw something like this further up the valley, a little glassed in cart with jars of honey on a front lawn and a money box... you just take a jar of honey and leave your money! I guess there's still an old fashioned neighborly ...
