Only place I have seen where breakfast is served in the reception desk area. Coffee machine and pastries. No tables or anything.

Well we should have been landing in Townsville today or tomorrow but due to unforeseen circumstances here we are in Los Angeles. The unforeseen circumstances were we flew from Toronto to Calgary as planned then hopped on a different plane again to go to Seattle. All good at this stage. On arriving at our lovely 5 star accommodation at the Edgewater …

... there as the shops only opened up at 10... so much for a fresh start :p The mall was pretty uneventful and a bit disappointing after having visited the Gateway in South Africa. This is like a while nother world. Every sign post- had the Beverly Hills sign, the police station, has the Beverly Hills sign. Everything is so damn fancy! We then drove through Rodeo Drive and I instantly felt poor compared to everyone wandering around! But ...

... ourselves organised and everyone was outside on the top deck by midday already taking photos and jostling for position.

The landscape had dramatically changed - we were travelling through a narrow passage - green hills flanking both sides. It was cold and windy at the front of the ship where we stood taking photos and waiting for a glimpse of the glacier.

          Around 1 o'clock we took a break ...

... looking a bit small we went in search to see if we could get closer and take a few pictures. This was easy said than done, the reason it was so small was because it was so far away and we realised this after walking for a good hour and we were still none the closer. We asked in a nearby hotel and they recommended the best place to see it was the Griffith park, which was too far away. We gave up and headed back to check out other famous streets as sunset boulevard ...
