... idea of driving around quietly in a horse and cart. I think I would adapt to that quite nicely, so asked Jonathan if he fancied trying being Amish for a while. I guess not :-) Finally made it to Columbus, Ohio and our hotel which we booked around the corner from our friends Adam and Diane who live there. Jonathan went to school with Adam in Cayman and I met them when they visited last Christmas. They also flew in for our wedding, so it was ...

We have learned a great deal about rugby and Gaelic football!!! It is insane here when it comes to these sports.

Maybe the only way these children will ever see an elephant or a giraffe is by visiting a zoo. So when zoos are as good as this they should be applauded and supported all the way.

Well done Columbus Zoo, and thank you John for sharing it with us. Your passion shines through and you have given us an experience we will never forget :-)

... We had some amazing views from up there. Afterwards we took some time to wander around a bit and enjoy being in the great outdoors.

You can see how we got on here (if you want to)

Bryan & John went swimming again the following morning - this time to the old quarry which meant Bryan could just keep going around and around instead ...
