On the road home

A travel blog entry by dkauten on Feb 15, 2015

Picked up the car at our friends, the Meadors. Hitting the road for Atlanta. Wow, it's been a whirlwind expedition! Feels like we've been gone for months. Can't believe how much we've seen and all the places that we've been in the last 26 days. I will certainly view so many of the places we've visited with a different set of eyes and opinions ...

Definitely worth the wait, we enjoyed a slow romantic ride around the wheel with stunning views of the Atlanta skyline. Couldn't have been a better ...

Since a long tunnel was coming, they decided to stop before the tunnel so we didn't get stuck in there. Eventually a police officer hopped on the back of somebody's motorcycle and they turned around and told everyone it was OK to go. I never did ...

... have been much better if the show was a little more educational, and told the audience more about the dolphins and how they are trained.

After the aquarium, and our customary trip to the Hard Rock Cafe, we sought out Mary Mac's Tea Room. I felt that we couldn't come to Georgia and not eat peaches, so I had searched online for the best peach cobbler in Atlanta, and Mary Mac's came out top. What we thought would be a small tea room, was actually a huge restaurant, with ...
