Dinner was a family affair, with the Seligson's and the Friedman's occupying 17 seats. And when everyone else was asked to eat and leave given the large number of runners/guests coming through to carb-load, we were of course exempt, hogging a massive table in the middle of the room. Yesterday we took a drive to Lake Placid, site of the 1980 Olympics (also 1932). It was really crowded with people so it must be the place to get away from it all. We just had lunch and then drove around a bit. The Adirondacks is a beautiful area that is heavily forested and has lots of lakes. The mountains are not as high as we are used to. Today we just relaxed a bit and explored the area around our campground.
Tomorrow we are off to Vermont.
