      ... enjoying our meal. Two more different staff members came to ask if we were enjoying our meal so apart from the cleaner I think we assured everyone that all was well with the meal. The next morning we gave the campervan a quick slosh down at the carwash facility on the campground and returned it to its rightful owners.       Today was a 16 km bike ride to the tree tops walk. Few showers. This is an excellent spot. We then cycled through the Mahinapua walkway. Another 6 km. Back on to the main highway to Hokitika with a head wind and showers all the way back. We dropped off the bikes and were sad to see them go. Good bikes. A lazy afternoon as we're both quite tired.       ... thought after all the travelling we had done over the past 14 months the last hour of our journey would be one of the hardest! After much "debate" at the gate we were escorted to bookings desk and allocated seats on the next flight an hour later. So good to touch Christchurch soil.

      ... we walked into Terminal 3 (about 10mins) and started exploring. Love all the gardens - think the orchid one was my favourite with so many stunning varieties. The koi fish were also impressive and the ponds make a nice unexpected feature in a busy airport. Caught the Sky Train to Terminals 2& 3.
