First to Mighty where the van is from as yesterday David realised he had left the water cap at the last dump station. The mall was made of storage containers and portaloos and the centre was mainly boarded up. It rained on and off and we had a very quiet Monday night drink in central before a trip to an equally quiet casino, then a beer over looking the estery. After a night sleeping in Christchurch airport myself and Mia arrived in Sydney to be picked up by ...

... because drivers can't see landslides and falling rocks... and because they use the slow period to do major construction and fix the mountain pass to make it safe. A quick look at the time and we decide to go for it... make it through the pass before they close it and hope for an event less drive! Clearly if you're reading this you know we made it across safely. Needles to say that many bits involved some white knuckle driving. Waka-waka... Wanaka? ...
