    Hi everyone-
    Though I know this blog should technically be in the Roma blog, I wanted to add it here since it really serves as my culmination of my doctoral work in Gainesville. It was really neat to see pictures of Grandma Nettie when she was young. We also got to see the book the Uncle Al wrote, he is ...

We drove to Tampa and stopped to stick our toes in the water in Tampa Bay and then drove across the famous Sunshine-Skyway bridge. We had been under this bridge on our cruise in 2007 but the view was a lot different this time. We then ate authentic Cuban food at Jose's ...

    ... Things I learned/was reminded of on this first camping trip;

    • Be one with dirt. It is inevitable. The sooner you except your fate, the more enjoyable the trip becomes.
    • On the weekend you schedule to go camping, it will rain. Always. It is okay. See item #1.
    • No matter how modernized it seems, always bring an electric coffee pot. Waiting an hour for the fire to heat up just to get a cup of coffee is the worst!
    • Rummy is still my ...
