    ... it wasn’t open when we were there, so we killed a little time at the park. Turns out, it was worth the wait. Zaharakos was opened in 1900 by three Greek brothers. It was reopened and refinished to its former glory in 2009. Zaharakos features unique architecture and several antique soda fountains.     ... was the first real artist in the area. Most of the rest of the neighbors were farmers and thought he and his wife were nuts! They built a beautiful Victorian style house with porches all the way around it and lots of gardens that the wife grew flowers in instead of food.
    TC himself would invite other artists to come out and paint the landscapes (his favorite subject). He ended up with quite a following.

    This morning Jeni took me into Nashville. It's an adorable little artists colony. We browsed around and found some really cute things for the Midwest room. Shipping them cost a fortune, but they are on their way!
