... to the Christmas experience and especially the markets. We are very excited to spend Christmas Eve in Rothenberg. I am bringing small gifts for everyone but am stuck on what to get 3 boys ages 17, 15 and 11. Any ideas from anyone?

I can see travelling to Italy every October with stays in the hills of Tuscany, a short stopover in Florence to visit with friends, and then a few days lakeside. Hopefully that will be our annual goal. I cannot imagine a better trip for us than that.
Thank you for reading the blogs, and now signing off......

Can anyone suggest an all inclusive resort off the east coast of the US for myself and family (wife and 2 sons 11 and 13), would like if possible to get there by a short cruise from NY or NJ. Would like to spend 1-2 days on ship and 4-5 days at resort, and maybe fly back to US. Can go anytime from March thru July2010. The family has never been to an island resort or on a cruise, thanx for any info

... there and take advantage of the wi-fi. It was only after we had confirmed with the staff that it was working and had ordered lunch that we discovered that at this particular McD’s they charged for the privilege. We’re just astounded that in the current economic climate, rather than offer incentives to promote trade, so many people are content to just rip off others for as much as possible today, with no thought given to repeat business or whatever. Incredible…..

... not even in the supermarket. After several miles we finally found another one to try, this time outside a not too appealing-looking diner, but at least it worked. Mel phoned NY State Parks to find out where there were campsites open and if they had electric. We thought we might head down onto Long Island, towards the far end away from the madness of New York City. That way we wouldn’t be far away from New York City once we got the call ...
Fishkill, New York, United States thebusmonkeys... Ok, so I might be a bit of a wimp but that lake and its "natural spring" could be considered a septic tank by the end of the summer. I'm unsure as to the origin of its effluent - some foamy algae like substance - but its there. Maybe I"m being harsh but its my blog and I'll write whatever **** I like :) We went to a Yankee game and went out for drinks in the city afterwards. I took Mark to my favorite hole in the wall bar, which serves $4 drinks all day/night long ...

Having slipped Gaynor another pill she was more then happy to come along and so we had a fantastic meal consisting of many different animals in various states of distress. Having eaten ourselves silly yet again we took the subway home and collapsed once more into bed. We woke up this morning and decided that we needed a break from the ...

We will march into the Hotel Nelligan with our styrofoam cooler, and numerous bags of cereal, fruit, cookies, yogurt, and two ripped-off cereal bowls from this hotel so we can continue to eat breakfast in our room like the slobs we are at home. And a P.S.--to my surprise, the Roosevelt's living room has two calf-skin lampshades with music printed on them, much like one Mark and Wendy have. House tour?

By car it could take upwards of two hours (and who's to say I'd find a parking space ; Oh, by the way, that'd be another $20 at least). So, I can't justify driving in (no wonder so many New Yorkers don't have cars). I should be able to cover most of the major sites in mid-town and downtown. I think I'm going to save uptown for another visit. - Well, i'ts after 10 PM and my brain is burned out. Back to work tomorrow. Cheers all !
