... was sensational & so reasonable - $11 for mine & $5 for the soup. A trip to the gift shop of course & then we're off to walk across the Hudson. Huge, high bridge over a mile long. Freezing cold & windy. Great view though. Then we went to a tiny place called Wappingers Falls because we passed a proper coffee shop on our way home last night & we needed a real coffee for a change. And it was good. ... after sunset, hence the title of this entry. We had to walk over the river and it was a steep, high overpass with a pedestrian path beside the road. Unfortunately all the lights at the top of the overpass were broken so it was only passing cars that lit the way. We passed 4 men, one was drinking beer, but we just put our heads down and power walked across. Probably took about 30 minutes but this river front ain't no Southbank. I think everyone on our tour was also rather dismayed when Eleanor's room was pointed out. Since Franklin's mother lived in the family home, Eleanor was not the woman in charge.
