We have spent the last four days in LA, best described as a sunny, mixed bag. We first arrived on Wednesday and quickly gave in to jetlag, in the following days we have experienced the Metro system, went on a guided tour of Hollywood, saw a Lakers game, went to Venice and Santa Monica Beach and sunbathed next to our mini-motel pool.

important/expensive stuff on you or safely locked away , don't walk
down a back street in the dark on you own etc) and also approach
people yourself to ask for help rather than accept that offered by a
stranger if you can (mostly in India). It is not often unsafe, just a
major rip off...you are a tourist therefore you have money. Knowledge
is your best form of defence and acceptance your best form ...
