Hottest day of the trip
From Bakersfield we set out for Death Valley. Upon reaching the boundary we were advised to keep our air conditioning off as the cars struggled in the heat and could overheat with it on. In fact the van in front of us on the road in did just that! The temperature soared to 50 degrees in Death Valley and we suffered without air conditioning. Being …
Vegas baby!!!!
We decided to walk the length of the strip as we really wanted to get a picture of the Vegas sign. It was so hot though, the temperature was in the low forties. On our wanderings a woman approached us who gave us some helpful advice about the Vegas nightlife and sold us some VIP passes for the clubs (turns out we didn't need to as they get handed …
Hey big spender!!!!
After a couple of hours sleep we got up and headed for the Caesars pool which the boys had told us had about 9 different pools. We blagged our way in without a room key and spent a relaxing few hours there. Stacey got chatted up by an old man who was on holiday with his mum and wanted her to stay in his room…dirty old man! Las Vegas
Driving in to Vegas at night through the Mohave desert was a spectical. Just blackness all around and then all of a sudden there is a light is the distance. Deb here:
We were supposed to get up early today, but we were both knackered and I had a migraine so we were a bit slow off the mark. The flea pit Baker had a good shower and we slept OK without getting bitten by any bed bugs!
Had a great breakfast at the Mad Greek Dog and we were on the right road at just after 10.30am.

Good location - the only positive thing I can say about this place.
Staff rude. Room awful, peeling paint, sink hanging off the wall, pillows that feel like they are full of cotton wool balls. Only 2 lights in the room - 1 bedside table and a wall light that buzzed like a fly killing light. Freezing cold shower. had 3 nights booked here, stayed the first, now canx and booked into Circus Circus over the road and its cheaper!
