          Mooi nieuw hotel.

Een schoon nieuw hotel met een alleraardigste receptioniste. Voor we aankwamen had ze de airconditioning vast aangezet. Het ontbreken van een zwembad kost ze toch een ster.

Gelukkig was er wel een spa.

From proximately-Los Angeles to Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Chosen because it is more or less halfway between Los Angeles and Flagstaff, which was chosen because it is in turn is about halfway between Los Angeles and Albuquerque. There is logic to this method - a kind of divide and conquer for distances.

And the other reason for …

... most of the day, not like a good ole Boulder one mind, air just looked all white. Learning a lot about the Indians, if you buy a house on their land you forever pay a royalty to them, no alcohol on land either and definitely no big shopping centres like Wall Mart. Is funny because their land on one side of the road and government on the other, you know which is which. Discovered I could join the Palm Springs Follies, the only requirement is to be over 55, ...

... a week ago, left our tony little town for Southwestern Deserts unknown. It had been months, MONTHS, since we had travelled and the 20 foot RV that lived in the driveway was beckoning us. In fact, I think the RV would have left on her own if we hadn’t acquiesced. But we did give in and off we went. First to our local gem, Pinnacles National Park (one of the newest National Parks), and what a gem indeed. The weather, which we expected to be in the mid ...

We traveled to Lake Havasu City to visit Jeanie, our sister in law. It was so fun to have the time to spend together. Rocky and Jeanie's dog Scooter, were a little leery of each other at first but soon became good friends. We enjoyed dinner together over looking the London Bridge at a brew pub. We also visited Shelley's brothers memorial stone next to the river and lake that he loved. Thank you, Jeanie for a wonderful family time at your beautiful home.

... said "Wild burros on road. Do not feed or harass the burros." I laughed at how ridiculous this sounded until, 50 feet later, there stood three burros. OMG, that made my day. They were so cute! One sauntered up out of the ditch and came to my open window. I wanted so badly to pet him, but was afraid to get my fingers snapped off, so I closed the window on him. :( Not wanting to harass or encourage him to be on the road, we rolled forward, but he just ...
