    ... I could see it myself. Prostitutes on every corner and no white people in sight and I mean none. We were obviously drawing a lot of attention to our selves even just sat in the taxi. The taxi driver started explaining that taxis don't come here (that's why the woman gave him the address). If they get a call from here they say no. He said look, "I'm a black man and it's too dangerous here, I wouldn't come here. You're white, you'll be robbed by morning for definite, maybe ...

    ... array of goods, fairly belligerent assistants and locked loos! But at least we found a razor so no more blood when dressing for dinner, it seems it's hard to go back to a wet shave after 40 years! Who knew? After a very relaxing break with the wifi, where we also saw our quiz team mates ( did I mention we won twice in one day a couple of days ago!), we walk down to the waterfront.     ... with the decor and apparent local custom, we both order fish & chips and Jeff sampled two beers from the local "Craftsman" brewery.

    We're both tired - all that walking and sunshine I suppose.

    This is is my final blog entry for this trip. I hope you've had fun; certainly more fun the Pokey and Gumby who rode around in the backpack all day and never got out for a photo op!

    ... and already I have tonnes of ideas to bring home! 

  • I'm also thinking about the need for 'self-harm/suicidal thoughts' care plans. Something in the nursing folders that has useful phone numbers in it and then prompts to alternative nursing interventions that staff can apply as opposed to obtaining BD obs and waiting for the CAMHs team, something I know we are all guilty of. Overall it has been incredibly thought provoking!!!
