OK so this is my first post on this site.
Here are our stats for today.
Left Oceanport at 8:45am and arrived in Sandusky, OH at 6:45pm.
We traveled 545 miles on I-80 and it was a long and hot ride.
Tomorrow is Chicago which is 250 miles, so an easy ride compared to today.

We drove through one small town after ...

... early due to torrential rain! We ended up packing up a bit early, we headed to a shelter for breakfast and then got back on the road. We were lucky that although some tents got wet, some areas of the campsite were almost completely flooded! We are now driving to Chicago, so a long day on the road with a stop at an Amish town for lunch. State count- 4: - New York - New Jersey - Pennsylvania - ...

... to be in full force while we are actually in Ohio. We have figured out a rough guest list and have tentatively booked our reception hall.

So finally after a crazy few weeks of weddings, last minute trip details, and visiting with family we are on the road but not until after a long start to the first day. We had planned on filling up our propane tank, stopping by BassPro for an extra fishing pole, and Lowes to grab a few master locks before ...
