    ... and enjoyed some 'gorge'-ous views (groan... sorry I couldn't resist that one). That night we were supposed to be going out but we were so tired out from the hiking that we ended up crashing on the sofa with a film - also a first for me, an Anime called Spirited Away which I enjoyed.

    The next day we had lunch with Sharon's lovely friend Ally and then Sharon dropped me off for the Bolt Bus (like the Greyhound but slightly less sketchy). I was really sad to leave Portland ...

    ... had enough time to grab lunch and then catch our prop plane puddle jumper which took us to Rapid City. A 45 minute airport shuttle ride transferred us to our home for the next 6 days- the K Bar S Lodge located in Keystone, SD (population 337, elevation 4300 ft).

    We experienced no problems getting there and had enough time to unpack before we met for an orientation meeting with our tour director who turned out to be a 7th grade school teacher, ...

We got to have dinner with the lovely Rich and Erin Hobson - introduced by the Stewart's - had a great evening with them and they drove us around and showed us around town, they drove us past Duff's house (guns n' roses) - one of the main reasons Peter wanted to come to Seattle! Sadly he wasn't in! Other highlights of the trip included - EMP - rock music museum - fantastic - highly recommend! ...

    ... another dog. It was horrible and even Stewie cried, but being a cartoon, I assumed it was just for that episode (they killed Kenny, etc). Woke up the next day and it was all over the news that they have properly killed him off.     We were very fortunate to have a behind the scenes up close and personal tour of the aquarium. We started by doing a plankton tow in front of the building in the triangle.
