4th largest indoor mall in the world impressive

I woke early to photograph the streets of Drumheller. In the center of town I found a clothing shop with cowgirl dresses and tops, something my wife had mentioned she was interested in buying. Since it was her birthday, I made a mental note to bring her back there later to see if she could find anything of interest.

We had breakfast at a cozy roadside cafe in the badlands called Whiff-it, where they make great waffles, and hungry man platers - eggs, bacon, sausage, potato wedges and t...

When I look at the world....

... Alex has Transportation and Infrastructure (i.e. roads, bridges and buildings); Sarah's got food and Derek has taken sports and....wait for it....no surprise here....local drinks! So, watch out for the stories associated with our individual quests....I think Derek's holds most promise for amusing anecdotes....

That's all for now, but stay posted and we'll keep you updated with our plans and progress reports.

... play first out of the two sides as to who will win.
We are looking for work because our money is going surpriseingly quickly even though we are living on pasta and bread. We are desperate for some work and are asking everyone so we can get some more money.
My birthday is approaching soon. It will be weird being over here for it cause im not sure anyone will know when it is. Hopefully they do not find out because god knows what they will make me drink lol.

Booked my last reservation just now

... a long weekend showing her our province before heading home for good. While I think the trip will be fun, it will also be our usual dichotomy between RUSH and RELAX. Many of our connections are incredibly tight, and in at least 2 cases if we miss the train we lose a full 24 hours which will make a mess of some rather major ...

Ode to the Seedless Grape

... watching the tallest most sturdiest of trees shiver in their timbers. Wind has been proven to affect mood and I can feel it. A study in Austria said that high winds have been linked to a twenty percent rise in suicide. I certainly don't want to jump off my balcony just because of the current of air. But I fear if I were to venture out there at this point, I may just get blown off! I'm staying inside. Though its sunny outside, people on the street ...

Departure in T-Minus 15D

... go to London, where we will spend a few days and then come home. We're going to be roughing it. We're going with a minimal ammount of cash and one bag. That one bag is going to be big enough to fit in to carry-on, and this is going to be for a 3-week backpacking trip across Europe. "Impossible!", some may say. Well, screw them, we're doing it. The blog will be our proof.

... comparison with the people around me, and completely unversed in culture, customs, and language. Ya, no challenges there. If I could go back 2 months in time I'd have a long talk with myself, and maybe institute some liver-punching. Fortunately, this is just me and my standard silly fear of new things. I hope to write you from Delhi soon with a calm, soothing message of 'everything is all right'.

Letting go to grow

... And making a difference may not come in the way you expect. I will forever be in debt to these teachers in my life. Respecting their lessons are the least I can do though it means letting them go for a while to afford a new beginning. Today I am grateful for forgiveness. Ps. Oh yeah, remember how my last post was grateful for refrigeration? Well, my freezer just broke. How funny is that? Oh and to top it off, it's 33 above this week! Good thing I have been training in hot yoga for the past few months.

Crumpled 747

... class and almost died. It was brutal and although I did every posture at least once, I made sure to rest when I needed to. I was dizzy and nauseas plus the class was jam packed with more people than I have ever seen it. We were squished in like sardines which made it a little cozy trying to perform full locust pose. I know I did not look like the 747 that they usually try to get us to emulate. I was more like a crumpled paper airplane that Magic chewed up. Oh well. Can't be ...

The Long Journey

Dec. 31 - Left Edm. 1:00 AM (sch. 12:30) arr. Toronto 6:30. I asked for and got bumped up to Business Class because Merilynn was there. Lots of room in BC but otherwise flight was full. Bigger seats made sleeping a bit better. Breakfast at Pearson Airport was basically inedible but filling. Discovered that TO duty free does not stock Lambīs Navy. What a backwards people. Left TO late ...
