    ... 14 thousand feet tall. My dad took us there for a picnic a couple years ago.  We decided an hour detour off our route was worth the trip to go up again.  This time Mt.     The day is the hottest it's been thus far on the trail- the trail has been very exposed, the other plants are shrubs and water-resistant bushes .

    Our drive on Saturday February 28th took us through Sacramento into the Sacramento Valley. It's pretty similar to the San Joaquin Valley we drove through on Friday. It's much greener so I presume they get more rain here!
