I had seen and heard about this waterfall. A perfect waterfall creeping down a wall of moss, little fingers creeping down to the water below.

To get there we had to technically trespass and walk along train tracks for a mile or two. i was semi fulfilling of childhood fantasy of walking along the tracks, hopping on a train and taking me somewhere, watching the world go by. Instead, we let the 100 or so ...

... we stopped at the tea shop in town again. The teas were excellent and we needed more of that chocolate! Coming into the park we spied some blackberries that were ripe for the picking! And so its cobbler on the menu tonight. Pete is BBQing a whole chicken. Planning another drive this evening to Crystal Lake near ...

... snow packed at that elevation but there is barely a trace of snow. Another indication of the severe drought in CA. In the 70s an avalanche destroyed a ski area and wasn't rebuilt. It was a time ...

... Lake, I planned to hike 9-10 more miles to the next water and camp at Chinook Creek which is where I am now. We got free drinks and fruit from some trail angels that were parked at a trailhead. The catch was that they handed us religious propaganda. Damn!!! We don't need more weight to carry. I guess we can use it as TP in a pinch. On the way to camp, I made acquaintances with a girl who just lost her hiking buddy in Shasta ...

... finally step off of the train at the Olympia Train Station and were greeted by Jackie, our Make A Wish Granter, and our neighbor, Randy, who was there to pick us up.

Kallen was so excited to see his chickens and to take off his shoes in the house!

This was an incredible trip and we are so thankful to the Make A Wish foundation for making Kallen's wish COME TRUE! He was an incredible traveler!
