We came into town yesterday late afternoon courtesy of our friend Swig and his mom. He lives local to the area so he will be enjoying some time back home and then hop back on trail. His mom was extremely friendly and invited us to their house thus evening to share in their BBQ party in honor ...

... Mt. Shasta including a full blown tour of what's-what and price inquiries at all the promising hotels. We ended up staying at the Alpine Lodge, one if the more hiker priced and quality establishments in town. By the time we checked in and set our bags down it was only 6:30 pm. After lunch, I got a lot more energy. We decided to hike up the meadow more and we found the waterfall. It was beautiful and the energy there was awesome.

I felt drawn to keep hiking up alongside the waterfall as I could see a path. Somehow I had the energy to keep going, and we made it to the top. I wanted to see ...

    Busy Day

... coming off very well. I have gotten a few weird looks from people who don’t have any idea why my arm is red. Luckily, enough dye has come off, to make it look like I just have a really bad sunburn on my arm. After dinner, I threw the Frisbee around again with Josh, who happens to go to Lewis & Clark. Once we came back to the motel, I did my reading for the night, and reviewed what we learned ...
