... no pun intended) around 6:30pm, sun had set, and we were feeling lazy, tired, and like we didn't want to freeze our asses off tonight - case closed, we found a cheap room, had hot showers, and are now cozy in bed watching 'The Breakfast Club'. Crater Lake and Klamath falls are still on our hit list for tomorrow, followed by a night in Portland! Exciting!

We left early, at least for us, and headed to the Lake Shasta Caverns. We took the first tour at 10AM and we were the only ones on it. The lake was really low so we had a long walk down to the boat and then a nice boat ride across to the other side. The caverns were nice with lots of steps but overall well worth the money.
After the caverns we drove to Shasta lake Damn ...

... truck stop...one stop shopping. We got settled in and I emptied the tanks as we want to get out of here @ 0800. Also this is the first time in this trip that I can say it is cold 56 degrees so I don't want to mess with the tanks in the dark and cold ...

We launched from home at approximately 0830 hours yesterday morning, heading up U.S. 101. Our plan is to stay the night in Gilroy, CA a jaunt of 300 miles. Gilroy, is an agricultural town, well known as the Garlic Capitol of the world; we will stay at the Garlic Farm RV Park.

This is our first visit to the Garlic Farm RV Park. It comes fairly highly rated in RV park reviews. However our rating is just ordinary as it is not as dog friendly ...

Today I wrecked myself! No I didn't get in a wreck what I mean is I turned myself inside out. I'm not sure if it was the bad day I had yesterday on Hwy. 89, or if I was just sick of High Desert California. Either way I managed to get on the road early 7:25, and point my 2 wheels north. That might be a better name for this blog, "Two Wheels heading North". Oh well I'll have to think on that for awhile, back to my day. I thought that maybe I was wrong ...
