We made it to California- the land of high gas prices, smog and traffic! But, it is where our friend Barb lives and we couldn't wait to see her, it had been so many years! We met in Whittier, where Ric********** grew up . Had a great afternoon at The Black Angus, laughing and remembering our past together. Ed, Barb and I all graduated from Johns Hopkins Radiology program in 1973, and have remained friends thru the ...

... so went on a little further, but too much further & we were heading towards downtown. Stopping to check where we were at, we found that we had merrily cycled on quite some distance and needed to head back. We'd reached the bottom right loop end of LA, when we were originally heading up to the top left end of LA. A backward diagonal route was required to cut across the city. Instead we had a directional debate, as Andy and his terrible sense of direction kept trying ...

... Then it was off to Universal Studios. Cue feeling like a kid on a sugar rush. What a place! We did the studio tour first which was really cool. They took us round the front lot (all the big inside studios) first, but you can't really see much going on there. The back lot is much more exciting as it's where they have all the outdoor sets. The buildings look so real, it's very impressive. I won't tell you everything about it as I wouldn't want to ruin any ...
