... sample. From Julian, we headed further east and further into the desert, through some amazing country, huge hills, canyons, steep roads and very dry and hot conditions. The hottest it got was 108, which is around 40, but it is a really dry heat, very deserving of some time in a cool pool. ... from Mexico to Alaska in just minutes. We found the trail system very difficult to follow but walked on the little snow and ice they had to the Adventure Centre which was closed although no one ever told you.
