Problems with winter and manager does nothing . The motel is newly painted and strong paint smell in rooms. Had a winter storm on 22 March and the manager did very little. Power was out for six hours and the parking area was not plowed with approx 9 inches of snow. Most cars could not get out of the motel, pickups could maneuver a bit. Manager said a plow was coming, a day later the parking is iced over and still unplowed and icy. More snow is on the way in the next day or two. This place will be lots of fun then.
Poor breakfast selection. Other staff is very helpful in the motel.
Strong paint smell, does not cover up that the place needs a good overhaul. Put a coat of paint on it and everything will be fine. NOT

So, after taking care of most of the paperwork for work, we took a few days to head out to Estes Park. We stayed in a cabin that had a full kitchen and a nice fireplace. We kept a big fire going for most of the evening and enjoyed many a smore. Both Ben and I like when our marshmallows ...

... After a while it got too cold and we had some lunch in a cafe. There were some different things on the menu that I has never heard of, like onion rings and chilli cheese fries. On the way back we saw really big moose sitting among the trees. We came home for a little while and then Natalie, Dad and I got ready to go to Walmart to pick up a few things. After Walmart we had chicken and rice for dinner and went to bed after a long tiring ...

... We enjoyed sharing our flight with the Royal Air Force Rugby Team on their way to the Gold Cup Championships this week in Denver. The flight was long and we were tired. We slept, watched movies, read books and drank tea. It was nice to finally be back in Denver, but we were not quite ready for our vacation to end. England and Ireland, we look forward to visiting you again. ...

... to why Kansas has so many tornados. We stopped at a gas station and my gas cap blew away in the wind. I had to go running after it.

      • Speaking of wind...MULTIPLE tumbleweeds crossed our path as we were driving. Tumbleweeds. In real life. Oh kansas.
      • The only thing that was kind of cool on this drive were the windmills.....there were a lot of them because there isn't a lot of anything else.
