    ... Beach where we spend a couple of hours slumming up and down the prom. Venice Beach is the place to go to see street entertainers, skaters whizzing along the boardwalk, shops and stalls with all kinds of tat and fun stuff and also the freak shows.     ... sets on a little tram car and then into costume and prop rooms. They have over 4,500 props, all catalogued, lots of them coming from England and the Continent.

    There are literally thousands of palm trees which are not native to here - they were planted in the 30's an 40's in the hope of making it look like a beach resort.
