    ... cool bridge. We continue to be amazed at everything we see. Celebrated when we got home with some Alaskan Amber...saved for a special occasion..we made it back! Sun set behind the mountain across the lake. How blessed we are to see all of this. We can hardly believe it sometimes. For some reason....we are both beat tonight!     ... overheating (except for one little warning bell) as the temps changed from the coastal 60's up into the mid to high 80's.

    What a pleasant surprise when we pulled into the Santa Maria Elks #1538. Very modern and nice Lodge, beautiful landscape AND FANTASTIC RV full service hookups. AND only $25 a night charge. We'll be here a week and they have special meal (of particular interest to Harlan) nights ...

Oh by the way if you ever come to California, you better bring alot of cash because thing are not cheap....Gas up to $3.89 a gallon, even diesel is up to $4.60 a gallon, and the price of food is double what we spend, since we have been here we have spent close to $300 on grocerys, that is 3 times our budget.........So Larry's lesson learned would be don't come to California unless you are a movie star....or rich....or whatever, until then CYA
