    On our way to Galveston we got caught in traffic so we opted for an adventure in the form of a detour. What a surprising view. The Gulf roughly lapping the shores; beautiful homes on stilts, pastel colors of beach community homes were easy on the eye. I wish more of them were caught in pictures.     ... our picture drama starts....more on that later. The weather is really awesome. We head directly to our ocean view cabin on deck 2. Really spacious room with a lot of storage space and 3 made up beds. After checking out the cabin, we head to the lunch buffet on deck 10 lido deck. This is where we spend a lot of time.     ... discovered Vermilionville which is a very authentically reconstructed Acadian village complete with live artisans. Excellent exhibits.
