... went upstairs to our seats. It pulled out of the station bang on time and it was great to just sit back and watch out the window. Not too long later we went to the dining car and all had a full American breakfast, and a bit of wifi too. We settled back into our seats and a few more hours went by. The drive along the pacific coast was stunning and we definitely got to see some of the best views doing this drive. After, this we were a short drive from Monterey. After enjoying the wharf, we went back to the hotel to drop off the car, and took the dogs on their leashes for a walk along the beach across the street from the hotel. Dogs aren't allowed on the sand, so we stuck to the ...

One more night and then we are on our way home. It has been a great holiday. We have been surprised with all the fantastic places we have been and the wonderful sights we have seen.
Minus of course the ****** food. We have managed some lovely food, but it was certainly outweighed by not so good stuff. I think we are getting used to the coffee as it hasn't been so bad lately.
Everywhere we travel to we always wing our accommodation and never have we had a problem, ...
