    ... should be easy but Nancy the sat-nav has us going over the mountains, we see some signs on the road no doubt put I one residents advising that the sat-nav is wrong, so we turn around and find ourselves.     ... We were on the Ventura Highway for a short while.

    The third time we got off Hwy 1 (101) was onto Bates Rd and then Rincon Rd. There was a sign that said petrol and food so I thought that might be a good idea. The road was pretty narrow and rough so we reconsidered and when the GPS said "HARD right at Casitas Pass Road" which was almost back the way we had come we thought she was taking us straight back onto the Highway.     ... and upbeat, which made me long for my college days when life was simpler and my main goal was to learn. College kids don't know how good they have it. I broke for lunch around noon and ate at a sandwich place right off campus called South Coast Deli, which make excellent sandwiches for a good price for the amount of food.
