Ironically, this area was known for its iron mines...which are all now ...

I rode down Mercer's Main Street this Sunday morning, shivering as I pedaled past the bank sign: 47 degrees, 5:30 a.m. I passed The World's Largest Loon statue and could hear the crazy wailing of loons in the distance, triggering thoughts of the wonderful movie, On Golden Pond. My mind drifted to memories of visiting Squam ...

    Minocqua - 1st Day

4 am alarm time! Surprisingly the drive to the airport was hassle free

schedule and a couple hours later we landed at the dilapidated
    Minneapolis airport. ...
