It was a great weekend for the Virginia State Fair!

We are normally up in Maine on Columbus Day weekend enjoying the Fryeburg fair. This year we spent it at the Virginia State fair. I have to say it doesn't even come close to all that goes on at the Fryeburg fair when it comes to the agricultural exhibits, at least not this year. ... an almost completely dark room and Volcano goes in and out of a mountain like a volcanic explosion. We finished up the coasters hitting Avalanche, Ghoster Coaster, and Dominator. Seems like every trip must outdo the last one in terms of the annoyance factor.

Drove myself to the airport this morning, no particular problem parking. Arrived plenty early; did not have to wait in line to check in as there was no line to speak of.

THEN I had to go through airport security. Got pulled to go through the highly intrusive microwave super duper x-ray Superman scanner--AGAIN--and this time it didn't like the buttons ...
