      ... We stayed at The Inn at Cannon Beach which is at the southern end of the village. Very nice place. We had a king suite which was large and beautiful. We walked to the beach which was just across the road and walked down on the sand to Haystack Rock. The surf was out but still very rough.       ... a gang of tankers lined up to head out to sea. It's pretty, and a nice small town. While most things weren't open on Christmas day, the downtown is obviously trying to make up for the closed canneries and lost lumber jobs by catering to the tourists. There were many restaurants, gift shops, theaters, and such.

      We did another walk on the beach in Pacific City and look who is getting the “photo bug”!! He is using his Kindle Fire which takes great photos. It was low tide and we could get close to the star fish.

      We left this morning and off to Seaside for 2 weeks. Sunshine is here and a beautiful day. This is our biking town and we like visiting and biking in Astoria again.
