We left Miller Lane in the dark in a temperature of about 8 degrees. Little did we know we would see 25+ before the end of the day. This was one of the more pleasant trips through Cincinnati. We stopped for fuel before we got downtown and anticipated an easy Saturday drive instead of rush hour. ... It was beautiful! We just left Waynesville NC where we spent some time with our friends Flagg and Carole. This area is just amazing. Everywhere you look you are surrounded by the beautiful Smoky Mountains. While there we visited the Biltmore Estate in Ashville and loved it. We are spending the night in Forsythe GA then on to White Springs Fl. We will be home either Tues or Wed after four great months on the road and lots of ...

Visited the Main St Gallery but the right Folk Art wasn't there - some cute birds and a gourd turkey - but not quite right. Had a dynamite lunch in a new restaurant called Fortify and then headed south. Drove through the pour in rain and arrived at the KOA. Had "lovely" take-out from Wendy's and turned in early. Had ...

... a school, school lunchroom, a 1950’s era home, several older homesteads from the early 1900’s, a post office, smokehouse, outhouses, sugar cane grinder/boiler, farm and ranch implements, etc. Lauren was fascinated with all of it. Bob decided to check the tire jack only to discover it was not working and when we attempted to play our nightly movie, the $300 DVD player wouldn’t eject! We were ...
