    The countdown is on. First I am finishing homeschooling with my niece who goes home in a few hours. Yes, it 1:30 am and I am learning to blog. She is leaving to go home early so I'm cramming in 3 weeks of school into 1 week, field trips every day (we bought the city pass and had to use before she left). We also have to pack a year of her belongings and this 9 year old has more clothes than I do! So I am up, just finished packing her luggage. I'll have to ...

    ... morning today. Headed for the laundromat and did up a couple of loads, then went adventuring. Went to the mounds at Ocmulgee National Monument and had a great visit. Good museum and video, amazing gathering mound with chief's circle, and visits to outside of funeral and other mounds. A bit of a walk for me through the river / backwater area with herons and egrets. Then it was on to the Fish and Pig for a great supper. Back to the camp early for some quiet time. A great ...

    ... We were determined to get through Atlanta today and made it in time for rush hour. Going south did not present much of a problem but we did take advantage of the HOV lanes and were south by 5 pm.

    We are starting to see buds in the trees and even the odd magnolia. Some of the red buds remind me of maples but I have not been close enough for a positive identification.

    Had tried to reach Michael to wish him "Happy Third Birthday" but ...

    Headed N on Sat. Took all morning to get packed up & leave. Tried for a visit w Nanette- she was on E Coast. Then got off on 60 in Tpa to see Su & Joel in hospital but they took her for MRI so we turned back to hwy. nice lunch at Sweet Tom. Arrived at Comfort Inn Macon, GA apex 8:30pm then to B&N till 10pm. Back in room but too tired to do much. CVS in am. LUNCH at PANERA near Charlotte,NC SEAGATE didn't work for what I need. Am reading mag RE blogging ...
