... I also made reservations for our jetboat tour/hotel in Grants Pass and in Portland. I figure it best considering it was still so close to the holiday. I am super excited to visit Washington Park in Portland and eat at Voodoo Doughnuts!....T minus 3 and I will be going to sleep only to wake at 4am Friday morning....That's right 4 am....We will be out of LA before it even wakes ...

... is in!) It was just the right temperature with a lovely breeze, we needed long sleeves but were very comfortable. I got some lovely photos of the view and the waves and we all paddled in the sea, which seemed warmer than yesterday. We went in search for some souvenirs but failed to find any, apparently Venice beach isn’t touristy enough- but the walk along the promenade was nice, there were many people trying to sell art which was interesting to look ...

... inadvertantly thanks Tom Tom) one lane road towards Yosemite. Again what a treat to see the backroads and pass delightful little farm houses and properties rising up as the hills became mountains. Up and up we drove and came to the park entry. Warnings about the need to carry snow chains made me nervous.Yes the white stuff was well and truly present and we loved its' sprinkled decorative appearance on everything. I'm currently sitting in the Los Angeles International Airport on a 3 hr layover between NYC and Sydney. I’ve currently been travelling for 10 hrs and still have a 15 hr flight ahead of me. Yay.
