May 23 was a stormy day in Joplin, Montana. In the photo, Don is passed by an 18-wheeler carrying an 83-ft long windmill blade. The windmills will be so huge that the container for the generators that will sit atop the windmills will be as large as a railroad car.

... hotel near Marias Pass. It was built in 1939 for the railroad workers, but it now serves tourists who have a love for the railroads. It features caboose and engine cabins that are amazingly well-appointed. You can climb the overpass and watch the trains pass right beneath you. Lunch was delicious.
We topped the pass and headed into the plains. It was hard to say good bye. We ended up boondocking in Havre. Tomorrow: the historical Montana.
