... mph tailwind as I followed the arid south side of the Snake River. It was a section of the Oregon Trail that many found the hardest due to terrain, water and attack issues. I did a nice bunch of miles, but can only approximate at 125 as I lost my odometer in the Blues. I am hoping to turn the loss to advantage by reducing attention to mileages, increasing focus on fun, but might find the opposite to be true as I now watch highway mileage markers ...

... on the to do list. After Home Depot we all went to a climbing center for Eric, Jacob and Gary to try climbing the walls. Gary made it to the top of his first climb. Jacob made it part way up too. Of course Eric made it to the top of each wall he tried. Fun to watch and cheer them on. Jen was the person in charge of ropes to secure them as they climbed and when they came back down too. ... and seek just as we reached the water, so the cool water wasn’t as refreshing as we would have hoped.

We were on the river for the next three hours, going through class three and class four rapids. Apparently, there are six different classes, and the highest that they go commercially (taking people out through the company) is class four. The river current was pretty quick, so luckily we didn’t have to paddle too ...

... Janice kicked him under the table...perhaps he said too much? :) Janice herself had been invited abroad (Ireland etc.) in years past to Women in business talks...a very interesting couple to say the least (and have been together 53 years and counting if I remember correctly)

So in the end Glenns Ferry was about the people in it, their history and the efforts they were making for its future.
