        Supermoon in Idaho

Sunday: Took it a lot more slowly ... 262 miles ... and stopped at most rest stops and view points along the way. Minnie was much happier! The highway followed parts of the Oregon Trail and it's amazing how the pioneers managed to get anywhere when you see the mountain passes they had to cross. I spent the night at a KOA in Mountain Home, Idaho and was able to watch the eclipse of the 'supermoon' from there. Very cool! ...

Well you might wonder why I'm calling this stop reality check. I was really at a loss so I ask Brian and this was his suggestion. He said it should make us appreciate the other great places we have been. You see, we stayed at Mountain Home KOA in Idaho, and what can I say but,we haven't experienced any other one like it. The hosts were friendly but the grounds were not well kept. It was in the middle of a residential area that you might refer to as "the hood". I ...

... nearer. So we planned to call her when we had had enough for the day (“planned” -note the foreshadowing here in the story!).

The ride went well, although it continued to get hotter. We hit some good downhill combined with a tailwind, which brought us into Bruneau at the 60 mile mark. We questioned two boys driving a golf cart on the “City” streets as to where we could get a cold ...
