We were on the river for the next three hours, going through class three and class four rapids. Apparently, there are six different classes, and the highest that they go commercially (taking people out through the company) is class four. The river current was pretty quick, so luckily we didn’t have to paddle too ...

During the course of this segment we both crossed several thresholds. We crossed over from Nevada into Idaho; we entered Mountain Standard Time; and the odometer turned over 1,000 miles. Six days into the trip and time is starting to play it’s usual tricks. On one hand it seems like a long time since we left and on the other, the time is passing very quickly.
