Day 22 - Gatlingburg - Tennessee
Oh my it really is hillbilly country here and the flag flies proudly. Today I headed to Dollywood. I think Dolly is fantastic so don't want to say anything too bad, but the word lame continually sprung to mind. Doesn't mean I didn't giggle all day long, but alas it was more at rather than with. Day 21 - Gatlinburg - Tennessee
... called "God's World", then I saw a dozen people in t-shirts that said "I was saved by Amazing Grace". They certainly love their religion around here. But they also certainly love their food. There's quite a weight issue. I don't say this is a local issue as many of the people here are in town visiting for the weekend from elsewhere, but I'm sure the 30 odd pancake places here don't really help. What a ...

After leaving Philadelphia for about 5 to 6 hours we stop in Knoxville, Tennessee at what is called the Best Bagels in Town. They serve over 20 varieties of bagels and 30 varieties ...
Beautiful time of year to be visiting!

We learned during our visit that it was PEAK time to see the changing leaves, and they were GORGEOUS! (See my main blog picture for a great example of the colors...was ideal at the bottom of the mountains, but as we went up, the trees had already lost their leaves...)

Boogerman Trail
Sunday morning, we woke up and packed up camp as soon as possible to get in a nice hike before heading back home. We moved our cars to the trailhead for Caldwell Fork & Boogerman Trails hiked across the first of many footbridges. Hiking on the Caldwell Fork Trail, we passed the first turn for Boogerman Trail.
