    ... that Portugal has to offer. One city calls itself the Venice of Portugal! Should be interesting. But first I will head 40 minutes west to Sintra a UNESCO World Heritage Site after that it is east to Evora another World Heritage Site with amazing castles and ancient ruins.     Today was bittersweet as it was our last day with the Shifrins and our time in Maine was drawing to a close. Besides, we needed to start thinking about things like getting the kids to the Doctor so they could enrol in school, setting up our apartment and, in general, beginning the process of readying ourselves to get back into a routine and starting school and work!!!!     Today was Jess and Sara's turn to have a day out and exploring so while Tim and Brett stayed home and played with the kids, they loaded up and headed out for the day. Their destination was the Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor.     Today was going to be boys' day as Tim and Brett and two of his friends had an ambitious walking plan which basically consisted of 3 Peaks and 3 beers!!!! Before I get too far into the detail of this day, I will back up and talk about what Jess, Sara and the 4 kids got up to for the day.
