... Newcastle.
After a bit of housework we walked the long beach fronting Wyrrabalong NP and marvelled at the beauty of this coast. There were lots of young people sunning and surfing, a regular beach hamburger shop and surf life saving club.
The waves crashed across the rocks below the white ...
... the pelicans and found one with a fish hook stuck in it's wing that needed removal.
Today we drove to Gosford and arrived just as evry child in the area swarmed the street dressed up for Halloween- great to see such participation. They had to visit a number of shops and get a passport stamped. After this we drove around the coast back to Norah head- magnificent views and more places to return to.
Angela and Adrian fly into Sydney late tonight and we head there tomorrow.
... and Seek.
Like when we first visited Sydney the weather was gorgeous and about 18 degrees despite it being winter so we made our way to avalon beach and got to know the area. It had been a long day so Tuesday was not a big one and we just chilled. We also discussed our plans for the next few days and decided we didn't want to be in the city and we had seen enough mountain ranges so would pass on blue mountains and save it for another time in the ...
... Birrabeen, but much busier. We chilled out there until lunch time and then drove to Eurong, the 'town' of Fraser Island. We had to wait a little while for the tide to go down before we could drive on the beach to set up camp. Luckily both groups managed to get all the tents up before it absolutely poured it down!! Everyone go soaked, we were in the middle of cooking, so that was quickly abondoned for a while! The heavy ...

Dangar Island am Hawkesbury River, Australia bettyinsydney... t a beach. It was a really nice chilled out place. His mom had gone to Nepal a few weeks earlier so we had the place to ourselves. The island is a place where people don't really think about security. The front door wasn't even locked when we got to the place. After the weekend, he had to go back to school and he told me to not even bother locking the place up when I left. It worked out almost perfectly that I got a ride up ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia rcys... Monday that there a lot of celebrities have houses here and they film all the outdoor scenes for the popular TV show "Home and Away." Anyway we spent all day on the beach and it was much more peaceful than the other beaches because there were such few people. The waves were quite strong so we didn't go in the water for long. Then we hopped back on the ...
Sydney, Australia megangullickson... known for its pelicans that you can feed from the town center. Picked up some good info on kiting spots here and decided to continue heading south towards Botany Bay. Finally came to rest that night south of Woy Woy on the beach and the entrance to Broken Bay, just north of a park I wanted to visit the next day and Sydney. So this morning explored Ku-ring-gai Park, which was pretty but very large, and ...
Woy Woy, Australia g_shookThe day had finally arrived. I headed up to Sydney to catch my plane to London via Kuala Lumpur. I had a bit of time kill so I just wandered round the airport looking for things to fill my time. Being drawn into the newsagent I ended up buying several time wasting magazines that would only end up getting looked at once due to the fast paced schedule. I was lucky to get a window seat so was able to sleep okay for most of the flight. I flew with Malaysian and they are pretty ...
