Well, after the best 5 months of my life my time in New Zealand is coming to an end on the 28th of February when I move onto Sydney, Australia.
My last weeks in NZ have been some of the best. Very chilled out and sampled some true New Zealander lifestyle. Swimming in the ocean, BBQs, plenty of beer and very good company! After the last entry Ive been over to the Coromandle Peninsula again ...
... and abuse. The things I have to put up with eh? Someone asked me the other day what I was doing working there when I have a politics and law degree, I replied "for fun". How great is it that I can be working for fun?! The pool was closed for the rest of the day as by the time it was ready to re-open it would nearly be time to close anyway. I thought YAY we will be able to leave early too, but this was not the case. I didn't have any change for the bus and only had a $50 ...
... one final twist through greenery and back up to the start. Great views over the valley from there, and I enjoyed the second lap just as much. I still need to work on realistic pacing, as my mile splits slipped, 6.15 followed by 6.23, but jet lag kicked in on Richard up ahead, and what he gained in mile two I pulled back in mile 3, a comfortable 2nd and 10 seconds adrift.
